Mum, you always make my bed. You always clean my desk. You always sweep the floor. You always wash my clothes. You always sweep my room. When I am thirsty, you pour water for me. When I am hungry, you make some cakes for me. At school, I learn to clean the bedroom and the bathroom. Mum, you are very tired ,I know. Mum, I don’t want you to do all these things for me. Today I can do all these things by myself. Mum, I can make bed now. I can clean my desk. I can sweep the floor. I can clean my room.

Mum, first I want to say that I’m the luckiest boy in the world. Because I have such a kind and strict mother like you!

When I was in Grade 3, there was an “after school” lesson. It was flute. Our class learned to play it once a week. At first, it was too hard for me to make the flute sound.     So I didn’t want to play it any more. One day, you said to me, “Don’t worry, keep on practising!” Then you sent me to the flute teacher’s house every Sunday. The teacher taught me step by step. In the summer holiday, even though it was so hot or stormy, you accompanied me and waited for me outside. With your encouragement, I kept on practising every day. At last, I passed the Level 4 exam!

Thank you, mum! I will not give up anything easily from then on!
