Here is a short letter to my best friend Violet in America.

DearViolet,

Is school starting? I miss our school very much. If you remember a few of my old classmates and if they remember me as a friend, please tell them I am fine. I heard you are going to start 5thgrade, and I will write more letters to you. I know that when you start 5th  grade and middle school, you will spend most of the time on homework and have less time writing to me. I am going to start 4th grade and will have a lot of homework too, much more compared to you. In China, what all the parents have in mind is “ Work, going to extra classes and no play.” I am glad my parents are not like that. We have an essay every week and a practice book to do in the summer, so it pretty much sucks here. I have a lot of friends here, but you know that you are still my BFF( best friend forever) . Even though I am on this side of the world and you are on the other side, we will never fall apart, because best friends don’t.
