Sunday Funday

On Sunday morning my mom dropped me off at my piano teacher’s house. I had to go on Sunday because last Thursday we had a group class.

Violet has lessons on Thursday too, so she had to come on the same day. Miss Nancy put us on the same day because we were duet partners. I wasn’t too happy about the duet because Violet gets to play the fun part while I get to play the boring part. When we first played together, we barely even counted so we couldn’t even hear the melody. After the horrible duet experience we were ready to go have some fun in the park. Today was a hot and sunny day. We went to Rock Springs Park. Violet said she has been to this park before but I haven’t been here before. After a walk, Violet, Gabby and I went to play on the playground. We first ate the little tiny oranges Violet’s mom brought. We ate at the little table under the wobbly bridge in the playground. The oranges were so good that I felt like eating a million oranges. I thought the spot we picked to eat our oranges was good too. The place was so shady and cool that it felt like we were playing in the pool. I went on the zip line a few times. Violet went on the spinning monkey bars. My favorite was the seesaw because we got to stand on it. We barely played because the playground  equipment was hot.. After we were sweaty and hot, we went to a Caribbean restaurant called “Pollo Tropical”to eat lunch. Pollo Tropical means Chicken Tropical in Spanish. I ordered an rice bowl and Mountain Dew.

My mom ordered wings and rice and Violet ordered a chicken sandwich and I don’t know what Violet’s mom and Gabby ate. I think the rice was pretty good with the chicken. I finished my rice bowl, but Violet didn’t finish her dish. She complained that her sandwich was getting too soggy and messy. After the meal we went home. Today we sure had fun playing and eating!
